Junior Programmer PHP

Position Overview

We are seeking a Junior Software Developer with a strong foundation in Laravel, PHP, and Python. Exposure to React.js will be considered a plus. The ideal candidate will collaborate with our senior developers and business teams to design, develop, and maintain applications that support our financial services operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications using Laravel (PHP).
  
• Write clean, secure, and well-documented code.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  
• Maintain and optimize existing applications for performance and scalability.
  
• Work with Python scripts for automation, reporting, or integration tasks.
  
• Contribute to API development and third-party integrations.
  
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
  
• Assist in front-end development tasks (React.js exposure is an advantage).
  
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices.
  

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on development experience.
  
• Technical Skills:
  
  • Strong knowledge of PHP and Laravel framework.
    
  • Working knowledge of Python for backend scripts or automation.
    
  • Familiarity with React.js (preferred but not mandatory).
    
  • Experience with MySQL / PostgreSQL databases.
    
  • Understanding of REST APIs, Git version control, and MVC architecture.
    
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
